Wasp Head, stereomicroscope micrograph

This is the head of a wasp taken from storage in 70% ethanol, air dried, and then photographed through a stereomicroscope using a digital camera. Although not a high magnification image, you can start to resolve the compound eyes.

Hi Gordy!
Daniel was just at a birthday party at a place called Imaginarium museum. There's a computer room here. Daniel's on this really tough and cute computer desktop made by little tikes - would love to have one for him, he's playing games and showing his Dad how to do them... There was an Xbox here and we were too impatient to figure that one out, Daniel would love that but is really happy to wait..

Anyway, love your images here!!

I have to get a better connection - some of my pictures came out great (like the few I sent for Christmas..)

Guess we both 'got' the camera bug, huh. Yours are really awesome! Makes me proud of my 'little brother'!

Love, Eva
